Play Quick Upside Calls

I have a quick end-of-day trade that could pay immediate dividends.

As you know, we’ve had success playing fast moves on the Macau gaming stocks like Wynn Resorts (WYNN – NASDAQ) and Las Vegas Sands (LVS – NYSE).

WYNN

Today, each stock is popping to the upside on the news that Macau’s 2006 gambling revenue jumped 22%, making it more profitable than the Las Vegas Strip. On this news, WYNN has jumped to a new 52-week high — but LVS has yet to reach a new 52-week high. As a result, I think LVS could move aggressively higher in the next few days — thus opening up an opportunity for quick profits. Since time is critiral, let’s get right to the play:

LVS

PLAY: Buy the LVS March 120 Calls (LVS CU) at or under $3.30, good for the day. Place a protective stop loss at $2.00.

Oh, and what a great turnaround today in TIE! Maybe our patience will pay off after all!
