When it comes to fast profits, sometimes I can’t help myself. Case in point, today’s trade on John Deere (DE – NYSE).

In today’s action, for example, the stock has gained nearly $3.00, and this has pushed the DE October 145 Calls (DE JI) that we entered this morning for $5.40 up to an intra-day high of $6.30. This represents a 16% gain in a matter of hours.

Looking forward, the stock looks extremely strong. So there’s a very good chance I’ll play calls again — and soon. But in the context of today’s trading, I’d like to take our fast profits off the table. With profits in hand, you can start your weekend early! So here’s the play:

PLAY: Sell your DE October 145 Calls (DE JI) at or above $6.20, good for the day.
