You’ve got to hand it to Research In Motion (RIMM — NYSE). In yesterday’s alert, I mentioned that RIMM needed to beat estimates, raise guidance, and increase projections for 2008 in order for the stock to pop to the upside. It looked like a difficult task, especially considering the fickle nature of the markets. But low and behold, RIMM came out and delivered yet another blockbuster report, and the stock is up over $15.00. This is pushing the entire technology sector higher, and therefore it’s time to close out our GRMN January 90 Puts (GQR MA). Although it still looks to me like GRMN could fill the gap around the $88.50 level, and even though it’s showing a black reversal formation right at its 50-day moving average, I think we should get out of the way of today’s RIMM news. Let’s go ahead and close out our GRMN puts now.

On a brighter note, all we need is one final upside push and we’ll be able to close out our BG January 120 Calls (BG AD) and our PBR January 115 Calls (PMJ AZ) with profits. It certainly has been a nail-biter with these two (especially PBR) but our persistence has paid off. As soon as it’s time to lock in profits, you’ll be the first to know. But we’re getting awfully close!

Unless we get a quick profit opportunity, I don’t think I’ll issue any more trades until after Christmas. So while I have a moment, I wanted to sincerely thank you for a wonderful 2007 trading year.
