First and foremost, if you haven’t already done so, go ahead and lock in “sniper” gains on your TSO February 40 Calls (TSO BH). As you know, we entered these calls yesterday for $1.60 and they traded as high as $2.00 in yesterday’s wild price action, and that’s good for a 25% gainer. Of course, this triggered our sniper sell trading tactic, so be sure to lock in these gains immediately (and congrats on another quick winner!)

We’re also hearing positive news from Gilead Sciences (GILD – NASDAQ). After the bell yesterday, the company announced that they swung to Q4 profit from a Q4 loss this time last year. They met expectations on strong sales of HIV drugs Truvada and Atripla, which sales grew 33% and 89% respectively. This is giving shares of GILD a little boost at the open, so maintain your GILD February 50 Calls (GDQ BJ) for more upside.

In other news, I received a note from some members saying that they were surprised that I haven’t gotten us into calls on any retail or financial sectors. After all, those two sectors have received the biggest bounce in recent trading. To be honest, I’m still not sold on retail, especially if the market accepts the fact that we’re in a recession. Now financials, on the other hand, is a sector I’ve been looking into — and I may have something out for you later today. Until then…
