PLAY: Sell your RATE December 30 Puts (QIB XF) at or above $4.40, good for the day.

Good morning. In less than 30 minutes, a 100-point gain has turned into a 30-point loss. As I look at the major market averages, I continue to believe that the downside scenario dominates the directional trading patterns. Therefore, we’ll continue to add put plays on any companies giving off indications of further downside.

In terms of today’s plays, let’s go ahead and lock in profits on our KSS December 30 Puts (KSS XF) and our RATE December 30 Puts (QIB XF).As you know, we entered the KSS puts for $3.40, and they’ve traded as high as $4.40 today, good for a 29% gainer. We also entered the RATE puts for $3.10 and they’ve traded as high as $4.50 today, good for a 45% gainer. Let’s lock in both profits now!
