As one final trade of the day, the chart of the iShares Barclays 20+ Year Treasury Bond (TLT – PCX) is rapidly deteriorating.
As I’ve mentioned before, the TLT chart has a long way to move down, and it looks like now is the time to profit off an extended fall. But instead of playing puts on the TLT, I’d like to play calls on the UltraShort Lehman 20+ Treasury ProShares (TBT – PCX).
TBT offers us a super-leveraged position that can maximize our potential returns. And looking at the TBT premiums, they’re trading at very reasonable levels. Therefore, as one final play that profits off the continued down-move in Treasuries, let’s add TBT March calls now!
