Close PCLN, Take TBT Profits
PLAY: Sell your TBT March 45 Calls (TBT CS) at market, good for the day.

This one absolutely shocked me. Last evening, Priceline.com (PCLN – NASDAQ) reported that their Q4 profits rose 1% to $33.3 million. Plus, their earnings per share increased 21% to $406 million, as consumers apparently took advantage of special hotel deals and discounts. On this news, shares of PCLN are up over $10.00.
In an economy like this, I would have never guessed that PCLN would be able to do so well — especially with a chart formation that was threatening to completely break down leading into an earnings announcement. But that’s a moot point now. PCLN is up strong today, which is dropping the value of our PCLN March 65 Puts (PUZ OM). Therefore, close this position now. Sell.
On a more positive note, the TBT March 45 Calls (TBT CS) that we entered yesterday for $2.90 have traded as high as $4.20 today, good for a nice 44.8% gainer. Let’s do our best to off-set the PCLN trade by locking in TBT profits now!
