Being Conservative on Fed Day

PLAY: Sell your SHLD October 65 Puts (KTQ VM) at market, good for the day.

Dear Bottarelli Research Member,

For some reason, I get the sense that we must be cautious with today’s trading. After all, you never know what type of rabbit the Fed will pull out of their magic hat this afternoon, and this has caused me to take a more nimble approach to today’s trading. So, when it comes to the SHLD October 65 Puts (KTQ VM) that we entered yesterday for $2.10, I once again feel that it’s best to lock in our modest profits now. With a current high of $2.45, we’re looking at an overnight gainer of 16.6%, which is certainly worth locking in now.

Now I admit, I still feel the SHLD chart has downside potential going forward. After today’s Fed announcement (and subsequent market reaction), we can re-evaluate the position. Until then, lock in profits now!
