The “Table Setter” Alert
Watching WHR, FDX, CTRP
Dear Bottarelli Research Member,
Thus far, our entry into the Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ – NYSE) has been right on the money. As Cramer yammers on and on about the compensation practices of Goldman, combined with a rash of new tax speculation on the banks, the financial sector continues to drift lower. If the weakness continues, we’ll be well-positioned to lock in a nice winner. For now, hold for more gains.
In terms of our other positions, WHR and GMCR are still down but they’re doing the best they can to hold onto support levels. WHR has stayed around $81.50 all day, which can be viewed as a positive. GMCR has also done its best to maintain support at $80.00. If the timing is right, we might add to our WHR calls. When it’s time to move, you’ll be the first to know.

In terms of FedEx (FDX – NYSE), the stock dipped below the key $86.00 support level – and then just as quickly popped back up. I see that as a strong sign going forward. The internal strength is still present, so let’s once again use this dip to our advantage. As soon as I get the clear indication that support at $86.00 will hold, we’ll jump back into the February 90 Calls. Stay tuned.

Also keep a sharp eye on Ctrip International (CTRP – NASDAQ). As I reported last week, the bloated valuations of online travel companies like Priceline.com and Ctrip.com continue to push the stocks lower. As I write, PCLN is down $7 and CTRP is down $2.50. If CTRP breaks below the $70.00 support level, we’ll dive into puts (there is a lot of room to move down). More to come.

TRADING NOTE: One of my new improvements for better trade timing in 2010 is issuing you these so-called “table setter” alerts, which introduce the plays that I’m looking at prior to getting the entry signal. That way, the moment the trigger goes off, I can quickly issue you the “buy” alert. Since I’ve already outlined the trade parameters in a previous alert (such as this one for FDX, WHR, and CTRP), all you need to do is quickly execute the play. In the end, this process will save you valuable minutes of reading through an alert, and hopefully significantly improve your execution time. And of course, this should lead to stronger returns. Going forward, I plan to issue these “table setter” alerts anytime I’m watching a position that’s ready to trigger.
As always…
Lock and load!
Sincerely,
